Senior Agile Project Manager

Job Duties:

Use standard occupational tools and knowledge to perform the following job duties. Job duties do not require or involve the supervision of other personnel. Create project approval documents and get project budget approvals from senior leadership (business and technical leadership groups). Collaborate with business units to define the project scope, timeline and business case justification. Analyze computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitation to determine if requested program change is possible within existing system. Create and manage project schedules and resource capacity plans. Oversee project financials - estimates, budgets, actual spending, forecasts, accruals, variances. Facilitate agile/scrum ceremonies - daily stand-up, mid-sprint review, backlog grooming, retrospectives, iteration and release/PSI (Potential Ship-able Increment) planning. Work closely with the Product Owner to prioritize and groom the backlog. Collaborate with the system team to understand architecture vision for a program/department. Understand concepts of continuous integration, automated builds and deployment Identify and mitigate risks in projects. Understand role bottlenecks in projects and provide better balance. Build solid project teams by providing strong servant-leadership, commitment, and foster adoption of agile technical best practices. Work with project management tools, including Clarity PPM, Jira and Green hopper, share-point, Microsoft Project, and MS Office Suite. Create strategies for agile-waterfall interoperability. Provide regular status reports for steering committee, high level stakeholders and leadership. Perform and support UAT (User Acceptance Testing). May perform other job duties considered normal to this occupation.

Requirements:

MBA degree or a related Master's degree that provided the required knowledge and abilities and 1 year of related IT industry experience that provided the required skills and abilities. Must be a certified practitioner for Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE). Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable. The term suitable, in this context, means substantial compatibility with stated academic level and job experience requirements and ability to perform job duties.

Additional Information:

This position involves no travel or telecommuting. However, this position is project based and duties are performed on site at various unanticipated worksites that may require relocation at the end of each long-term project.
